Emotion

Emotion was the topic for this exercise. We had to choose an emotion and represent it with the composition. I choose the expression FEAR . I  make the pumpkin which represent halloween and i think halloween is the festival of fear.

We had to explore the same composition with different color combinations.

Black: this colour does not indicate fear. Black is a good absorber of light. Hence, this hinders our vision due to lack of reflection of light. As a result, it gives our brain an excellent situation to imagine all sorts of mysterious objects that can induce fear in us.

White: in poems and stories, we often find our characters turning pale(white) out of fear. This is so, because fear can cause low blood circulation in our body. Hence, a person’s hand turns cold and face turns pale due to lack of proper blood supply.

Red: red symbolises anger and rage. Out of anger and extreme excitement, blood circulation increases in body, which gives a reddish hue to the skin. But this has nothing to do with fear. In case you can associate red with blood stains, then that’s a different thing.

Green: green is the colour of poisonous serpents. Therefore, it is usually associated with jealousy and at an extreme death.

But, to be very honest, i throw a question. Does the deadliest fear actually have any colour? I mean, when fear strikes you, you go blank. You can have a colour for it’s causes and symptoms( as mentioned above), but can fear itself have a colour? I think no.
